Diversity and Inclusion

At ACOS, we believe a diverse workforce, combined with an inclusive culture, creates a more engaging workplace and leads to more innovative solutions for our customers. We want every employee to feel they can be themselves at work.

Our ongoing initiatives focus on diversity and inclusion through, among other things, our Diversity and Inclusion Council, leadership training, recruitment processes, and day-to-day culture-building.

Eco-Lighthouse certified

In 2022, ACOS was certified as an Eco-Lighthouse company—Norway’s most widely used certification for documenting environmental performance and social responsibility. As a certified company, we are committed to continuously improving our environmental efforts. This means making conscious, sustainable choices every single day. Through these measures, we also contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

 

Our sustainability goals 2025–2030

(measured against 2024 reporting)

Renewable energy

  • 80% of the electricity we purchase will be renewable by the end of 2025.
  • 95% of the electricity we purchase will be renewable by the end of 2030.
  • We will reduce electricity use in our offices by 10% by 2030.

Suppliers

  • 50% of our suppliers will have climate targets aligned with a maximum 1.5°C temperature increase.

Business travel

  • 30% reduction in CO2 emissions from air travel.
  • All business trips assessed for sustainability by 2030.

Actions for 2025

  • Prioritize suppliers with environmental certifications.
  • Reduce energy consumption by 5% compared to 2024.
  • Switch 80% of purchased electricity in Oslo office to renewable sources by 2025.
  • Maintain Eco-Lighthouse certification.
  • Strengthen ethical guidelines for responsible procurement.
  • Offer employees EV chargers at Straume to support eco-friendly transport
  • Continue waste sorting and recycling of electronics.

Value creation in Norway

As a Norwegian IT company, we are proud that much of the value we create contributes directly to the local community through taxes and fees.

Long-term commitments

We support long-term social initiatives that make a real difference. In recent years, we’ve focused especially on projects for children’s health. For the past seven years, we’ve been a proud supporter of Hospital Clowns, helping bring joy and relief to children and families during long hospital stays.
